Evergreen Valley lists degree routes in Drivetrain and Chassis and Electrical Engine Performance within its Automotive Technology program offerings available to students.

The program describes courses in electrics, steering, brakes, transmissions, hybrids, and fuel systems alongside hands-on work in a clean automotive repair shop.

The Honda PACT section offers a certificate route focused on current Honda technology and describes opportunities to work in the industry through the program.

Evergreen Valley describes Tesla START as an intensive 16-week program that trains students to work for Tesla in current electric-vehicle technology.

The current catalog requires five four-unit courses: basic auto mechanics, electrical and electronics, brake systems, engine performance, and suspension, steering, and alignment systems.

MSJC describes the certificate as a non-transfer occupational program with hands-on training and instruction in automotive diagnosis, repair, and maintenance for computerized repair shops.

The program describes hands-on instruction and state-of-the-art training in emissions, engine diagnosis, electrical and body communication, brakes, suspension, and hybrid systems.

Students can earn an Automotive A.S. by adding general education, while the certificate of achievement requires 18 units including English, math, and computer competency.

Los Medanos says the program provides training opportunities for people already working in the field who want to upgrade their skills.

Automotive Technology and Advanced Repair and Diagnostics each list 37 units of required major coursework. Associate-degree students also complete general education.

The Automotive Technology degree includes engine fundamentals and overhaul, basic electrical systems, engine performance, suspension and steering, brakes, HVAC, light repair, and a transmission or drivetrain choice.

The ASCCA-sponsored degree requires accepted students to study in a sponsoring repair facility as paid apprentice technicians and documents more than 1,000 hours of evaluated work experience.

The electronics and electric vehicle specialty includes high-voltage battery and vehicle power systems, electronically controlled autonomous drive systems, and hybrid drive systems.

Automotive Technology is offered at the Indian Valley Campus.

The Master Repair Technician A.S. requires a 40-unit technical major and general education.

The major includes five-unit Automotive Careers, Repair Orders and Precision Measurement, available as AUTO 100 or ACRT 100.

Redwoods says completion of its two-year program provides one year toward the two-year work-experience requirement for ASE certification.

Required four-unit Automotive Business and Soft Skills covers automotive business operations and employment practices, with preparation for the ASE C1 service-consultant exam.

Skyline offers 60-unit A.S. degrees in Automotive Technology and Automotive Technician, with required and elective automotive classes plus general education.

The automotive internship program allows students to earn college credit while working for an employer during a semester.

The Automotive Technician Certificate of Achievement requires 35.5 units.

In addition to coursework, you must pass at least two National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certification tests.

The technical sequence includes three-unit Automotive Repair Business and 2.5-unit Introduction to Automotive Computers alongside engine, chassis, electrical, and transmission courses.

Cuesta identifies Automotive Technology as an ASE Education Foundation certified program.

The All Automotive Systems certificate requires 48 units. The A.S. has the same 48-unit automotive core plus general education.
